The year is 2000 and something and the Moonbar or Family is having an absolute cracker with a headliner slinging out the one genre that brought all the other genres together, breakbeats! Fast forward a couple decades, some of the dancefloor moves might be a bit laboured but the love, fun and good times are still unmissable and unbeatable!  If you missed out, my condolences, if you went, also my condolences to your livers and heads!

WOW! What better way to ring in the new year than with a music festival! Remember those? Me neither! But the window of opportunity was open, DJ legends of the scene were on the decks and as expected the crowd was more than up for it!

After more than 6 years delivering Brisbane some of the best party nights on record, Breaks and Enter finally has its popsicle stand blown… wait what? in their finale gig to end all finales. Most of the resident lineup cracked their knuckles and graced the decks one last time and old drinking crews were reformed for some “never again” moments of Patron shots and face biting(!).

Blahfest once again rose to the occasion and delivered a quality festival minus all the usual qualms associated with large gatherings of “music lovers”.

Over abundance of bad dubstep (is there even any that’s good?? ;p ) aside, stand out sets were easily marked by A.Skillz and LTJ Bukem.
