The JBT (JBT!)* aka John Butler Trio expanded their folky positive vibes to a quintet for their latest tour on the back of the new album, “Home”.

*-bit humor from The Goldbergs 😉
There’s very few bands that can stand the test of time, let alone for decades… let alone in dance music… let alone live dance music but I’ll be damned if The Prodigy doesn’t continue to deliver! Last time we caught them at Future Music festival in less than ideal conditions (ok it was horrible wading through shin deep swampy mud!) so it was a treat to stay (mostly) dry this time.

Flume brought some big visuals and vocal buddies like Kucka to two completely packed sold out nights at the Brisbane Riverstage. Check the highlights below.

Seminal hip hop group The Wu-Tang Clan wound up their Aussie tour with a ripper show at the Brisbane Riverstage last week. Even in the absence of some of their star players, namely Methodman and ODB, the champagne flowed and a good time was had by all!

The Amity Affliction
The Rise Against punk rock machine rumbled through town a couple weeks ago. Here’s some of the action!
A long while ago we took some photos of Daft Punk, back in 2007 for their Alive Tour to be exact and of DJ Falcon at a separate club gig. Less “awhile ago” the folks over at St. Martin’s Press decided to compile a comprehensive biography of all things Daft Punk related and include said photos. The book has since gone to print and it looks great! If you’re a fan of the helmeted wonders (and pyramids), do yourself a favour and get your grubby mitts on to it.
Here are some of the highlights from the original gig, pre WordPress days!
This week we take a break from The Guide cover photos while the rest of The Music magazine team are out getting loaded at Big Sound, but not a break from shooting 😉 We caught local post hardcore lads The Amity Affliction with their special brand of yelling and singing with shoulder to shoulder stage security (thanks to an overzealous crowd at a previous concert) at the Riverstage.
