Big Day Out map and set times
The grand daddy of all festivals is finally here! As per the usual run of the house, it’s a veritable smorgasbord of genres, from rockin Perth lads Karnivool, mishmasher Girl Talk, prog master Sasha, to cutesy bad girl Lily Allen, rock snobbery of Muse and angry metal monsters Fear Factory, there’s something for everyone.
Hopefully the weather gods still have a few smiles left after Summafieldayze to make this a dry event for once!

Easily the best news of the year! 😉
We here at SBM don’t mind a pint or 5 to wet our whistle, especially of the Malus pumila Miller cider variety.
However after returning from a Scandinavian holiday a few years back, which I spent many a night smoldering delightfully on an ice cold glass of pear cider (Perry), I sadly found it is pretty much none existent here, bar the expensive tall bottled champagne like stuff from specialists.
Needless to say we were ecstatic when we heard (thanks to Ruthykins) that Magners will be releasing their pear cider on the domestic market this Summer!
We are still waiting on confirmation of distributors but our guess will be Dan Murphys and 1st Choice to stock it first, slotting it into their quite reasonable range of locals and imports.

Now if only we can get the Irish pubs to get it on tap 😉
Lamb @ The Tivoli 3/01/10
Quite possibly the last show of theirs ever, though after 38 shows when it was only supposed to be 7, fingers are crossed this tour may revitalise some of the creative juices to spout a new album 😉
If you went, you’d know what others missed. If you missed it…. keep those fingers crossed!
Happy new year!
What a perfect way to ring in the new year than a spot of soul, hip hop and breaks!
Roots Manuva, Amp Fiddler, The Nextmen & MC Wrec and Thunderheist pop the bubbly!
